Urges UT Administration to supervise the disbursement of pension

Srinagar May 2, (KNS): The Srinagar District Congress Committee (DCC) today urged Social Welfare Department to release pension to remaining beneficiaries in Srinagar and elsewhere in Kashmir.
They Party also urged the UT Administration to supervise the disbursement of pension by Social Welfare Department to ensure that no beneficiary is deprived of his/her pension.
In a Statement issued to KNS, Srinagar District Congress Committee Srinagar (DCC) President Abdul Gani Khan has expressed serious concern over the financial severities confronting beneficiaries old aged, widow, orphans etc who have been categorized for grant of pension under various schemes in Social welfare department.
Abdul Gani Khan urged the UT Administration to supervise the disbursement of pension inorder to ensure that every beneficiary get his or her pension, as that, hundreds of needy people have reportedly not been released their pension in Srinagar and other Districts, so far and laid emphasizes to attach importance to this humanitarian issue.
DCC President said the Social Welfare Department of UT JK need to look into the grievances of remaining beneficiaries at a time when Covid 19 is holding tight grip on J&K especially Kashmir.
I would urge upon the UT Administration to supervise the process of releasing pension to beneficiaries by the Social Welfare Department every month, ensuring that there are no lapses on this front, besides ensuring that all the beneficiaries get their pension every month, Khan added
