Sopore, July 25 (KNS) : With the nation gearing up to celebrate the 80th Independence Day, the Sopore administration held a high-level preparatory meeting here on Saturday to review arrangements for the upcoming national festival.

 

The meeting as per news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Sopore, S.A. Raina, at the Dak Bunglow. Senior police officers and officials from all civil departments were present during the review session.

 

The meeting focused on ensuring smooth coordination between various agencies for the main function. The ADC stressed upon the need for synchronised efforts among all departments to ensure the event is conducted with utmost dignity and grandeur. He directed the concerned officers to complete all necessary arrangements well in advance and urged for close coordination between the police and civil administration to maintain law and order.

 

Authorities have been tasked with ensuring adequate lighting, drinking water facilities, and power supply at the designated venues to facilitate a smooth event. (KNS)
