Srinagar, Jul 25 (KNS): The SKIMS administration announced new measures on Tuesday, limiting the visits of Medical Representatives (MRs) to the hospital premises.

A circular issued by SKIMS, stated that the Director General of Health Services, Government of India, and the Director of SKIMS & Ex. Officio Secretary to Government have endorsed a policy requiring all medications prescribed in Government Hospitals to be Generic Medicines exclusively, ruling out the use of branded medicines in any circumstance.

The circular also emphasized the complete curtailment of visits by Medical Representatives to the hospital premises. Any information about new product launches is to be communicated via email only, as per the circular(KNS)
