Anantnag May, 13 (KNS): Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Ji T-20 League under the Banner of "Hum Main Hai Rajiv" organised and Sponsored by Manpreet Singh Leader JK Pradesh Youth Congress was started today in Jablipora with 16 teams from different parts of the valley participating.

As per the statement issued to Kashmir News Service Manpreet wished the teams good luck and also urged the youth of Kashmir to take maximum Participation in Sports events.

Chief Sponsor Manpreet Singh Mani stated that after a successful T-20 league played in Awantipora few days back he is excited for this tournament as well.

He further said that such events should be given encouragement so that the youth gets more involved in sports activities & refrain from drug abuse & other bad elements of the society.

The tournament started with ribbon cutting ceremony by DYC Vice President Pulwama Gurmeet Singh along with other associates.

First match of Baba Deep Singh Ji premier league was played between Gems X1 Baramulla and Tral X1.

Batting first Gems X1 set a target of 118 20 overs.Tral X1 chased down the target easily and won the match by 7 wickets.Sunny singh was adjudged Man of the match for his alround performance and Kamal singh was declared game changer of the match.

The Final of the tournament shall be played on 29 of this month.(KNS)
