Kupwara July 25:(KNS) Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Karnah, Dr Bilal Mohi-ud-Din today convened a meeting to review arrangements put in place for smooth celebration of Eid ul Adha in the sub division.

The SDM directed the Teshildar and concerned Naib Tehsildars to ensure that the COVID-19 related SOPs including wearing masks and maintenance of social distancing are followed at all public places.

The SDM directed the Concerned FCS&CA officer to ensure ration, vegetables and other essential commodities reach the people in 4 Red zones including Khawarpora, Shartpalla, Suliman and Bagbhella through ‘Ration on wheels’ pattern.

The SDM asked the concerned officers of FCS&CA to coordinate with police for regular market checks to curb profiteering by traders.

To ensure adequate supply of livestock, the SDM ordered Animal and Sheep Husbandry officers to closely monitor and make arrangements for additional supply of livestock if necessary.

Meanwhile, the SDM appealed to the people of Karnah to coordinate with the administration in successfully implementing the lockdown to safeguard their lives.

Among others, Tehsildar Karnah, Nodal Officers COVID-19, SHO, Naib Tehsildars, TSO FCS&CA, BDC Chairpersons, members of Traders Federation and other concerned were present in the meeting.(KNS)
