First school to have bus service for children

Kupwara, Jan 03 (KNS): Mumbai based NGO, Sarhad, has opened up a school in Dardpora, Kupwara, tp provide education to children from remote areas in the Valley. 

Sajay Nahar, founder of Sarhad, said that the primary school has set up with an aim to provide education to downtrodden and underprivileged children in the area. 

To provide transport services, a school bus was today inaugrated by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, P K Pole, in presence of president Amrit Charitable Trust  Dr Harbaksh Singh at Srinagar. 

Coordinator Sarhad Mushtaq Ahmad Khoja was also present at the occasion.

Nahar said that the school will start working from coming education session where free and quality education will be provided to orphans while for underprivileged consessional fee will be charged. 

Nahar said that the aim to provide bus service to the students is meant that children have easy access to the school in remote areas. 

He said that this will be the first school to have transport for students in the area. 

Sarhad, an NGO, works for the people from the border regions, who are afflicted by violence, through socio-cultural and literary means. (KNS)
