Srinagar, 05 Aug (KNS) : The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference General Secretary and MLA Khanyar Haji Ali Mohammad Sagar (Advocate) appealed to the Srinagar district administration to ensure comprehensive arrangements for devotees during the annual Urs of Hazrat Khwaja Naqshband Sahib (RA).

He urged the administration to provide uninterrupted electricity, safe drinking water, sanitation, healthcare facilities and adequate transportation for pilgrims throughout the days of the Urs.

Sagar particularly emphasized the need for special arrangements on Khoja Digar, when thousands of devotees from across the Kashmir Valley gather at the revered shrine of Hazrat Khwaja Naqshband Sahib (RA) in Khwaja Bazar to offer the Asr prayer.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe noted that the historic shrine has enjoyed the devotion and reverence of Muslims from across the region for centuries.

It is pertinent to mention that the Urs observances commenced on the 21st of Safar. During these sacred days, gatherings featuring Khatm-ul-Muazzamat, recitation of Durood Sharif, and Azkar are held daily at the shrine from Asr until Maghrib prayers.(KNS)
