Karnah, Kupwara(KNS): The closure of the Sadhna Top road in Kupwara has led to a harrowing situation as two deceased individuals remain stranded. The impassable road, compounded by heavy snowfall, has left the bodies of the deceased inaccessible, causing anguish for their families. Despite efforts by local authorities, including the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), to clear the route, the treacherous conditions persist, hindering rescue operations.

Meanwhile, residents in areas affected by a 33KV line electricity fault express frustration and anger over unscheduled power cuts. The faulty line has disrupted electricity supply to several communities, exacerbating daily challenges for residents already grappling with various issues. Calls for swift repairs and effective communication from electricity authorities have intensified as locals demand reliable and uninterrupted power supply.

Speaking to Kashmir News Service(KNS), Beoparmandal President Haji Tasleem Mir said, "The recent bout of heavy rainfall has triggered widespread landslides, causing extensive damage to structures across affected areas. Homes, roads, and infrastructure have been significantly impacted, leaving many families displaced and in urgent need of assistance." As communities assess the aftermath of the landslides, calls for compensation from government authorities have emerged, with residents urging swift action to aid in their recovery efforts.(KNS)
