Srinagar, May 14 (KNS): PDP Senior leader Rouf Bhat condemned the killing of a civilian by CRPF personnel in Budgam district and called for an impartial enquiry to punish the guilty.
But strongly condemned the killing of Mehrajuddin if the firing should have been avoided. The loss of innocent lives has the potential to lead to further alienation of the people
In a statement issued to KNS, He further said that the PDP demanded a probe into the circumstances, which led to the killing of the civilian in order to fix the responsibility. As Shooting a civilian dead cannot be how a democracy operates. Eagerness of few trigger happy individuals to replicate Delhi Police model of destruction & violence in Budgam is detestable. An enquiry should be initiated & guilty taken to task,” said Bhat.

He also condemned the extension of public safety act on political detainees and demanded the early release of former chief minister mehbooba mufti,nayeem akther,shah faisal , Ali mohd sagar and others who have been detained illegally by government after revoking article 370 (KNS)
