Samba September 21 (KNS): In a concerted effort to promote cleanliness and environmental stewardship, Political Science Department of Shri Pt. Prem Nath Dogra College Samba launched a Swacchta Abhiyan to commemorate Gandhi’s vision of ‘clean India’.
Since public parks play an essential role in our urban environment, serving as hubs of recreation, green spaces, and social interaction for the citizens, therefore, as a part of the community service the student volunteers visited ‘Veer Bhoomi’ and spearheaded the cleanliness drive.
Further in order to ensure that these valuable spaces remain pristine and inviting, the students resolved to organise regular clean-up drives and to engage with the other stake holders of the society as well.
It is imperative to mention here that before flagging off the undertaking, Dr. Twinkle Suri Principal of the college motivated the students to have an unyielding commitment towards the cause. Besides she extended heartfelt gratitude towards all those who have exhibited relentless dedication towards the community service.(KNS)
