Jammu, Jul 09 (KNS): Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, KAS Custodian General J&K Government has taken a review meeting regarding functioning of Evacuee Property Jammu at camp office Jammu today on 09-07-2018 at 12:00 noon. Custodian Evacuee Property Jammu and Assistant Ex. Engineers, besides all Dy. Custodians and Field Inspectors were present in the meeting.
The Custodian General directed the officers/officials of Evacuee Property Jammu to work with honesty and dedication for protection and safeguard the Evacuee Property and no indiscipline or dereliction of duties on the part of officers/officials shall be tolerated.
The Custodian General also directed them to keep proper eye on the Evacuee Property, so that the same is not grabbed or encroached upon by unscrupulous elements/land grabbers and the department shall make best use of Evacuee Property land in possession of the department for raising valuable assets for augment of the income of the department.
While addressing the officers/officials, the Custodian General reiterated for retrieval of illegal occupation/encroached land on priority besides to notify the structures under the relevant provision of law, wherever raised by the occupants illegally.
The Dy. Custodians/Field Inspectors of the respective districts shall be responsible for any encroachment if noticed in future and action as warranted under law shall be taken against the delinquents.
However, they are also directed to retrieve the illegal occupations/encroached land under their respective jurisdiction and submit the progress of the same on weekly basis.
The Custodian Evacuee Property Jammu has been asked to submit the suggestion regarding change in policy/loopholes if any, within 2 days positively.
The Assistant Ex. Engineer has been directed to invite e-tendering in respect of projects already approved by the Administrative department for execution during the current financial year, besides to obtain requisite NOC’s from concerned department/agencies, so that projects will be completed in a time bound manner if any lapes on this account shall be the personal responsible of Custodian Jammu/ Assistant Ex. Engineer concerned.
The Custodian Evacuee Property Jammu has been directed to complete the verification of records of Evacuee Property without further delay, so that the final print of digitization of records will be finalised soon.
The Custodian Jammu is further directed to visit the sites personally where some complaint have been received with regard to encroachment of Evacuee Property land and submit detailed report within a week times positively.
It is relevant to mention that the Custodian General shall take another meeting of officers/officials of Evacuee Property Jammu in the next week and every officer/official shall be made accountable for his faults or causing any damage to Evacuee Property falling in their Jurisdiction. (KNS)
