Kupwara Jan 26:(KNS) The 72nd Republic Day was celebrated in Nowgam north Kashmiris Kupwara district, According to our correspondent Republic Day was celebrated at Army Goodwill School, Naugam with enthusiasm and solemnity in befitting grandeur by children of the school on 26 Jan 2021.

The Tricolour was unfurled by Principal AGS, Naugam followed by the national anthem. The ecstatic children saluted the Flag and pledged to uphold the integrity of the country.

All officers of Naugam Military Station, School staff, prominent personalities and children of Naugam village witnessed the traditional fervour of national festival celebrations.

A grand cultural programme was also organised and conducted by the students including patriotic songs, group dance and group songs.

Sports competition was also organised for all students followed by prize distribution to all the winners and participants. 

The celebrations concluded with distribution of sweets and an oath to keep contributing towards growth, prosperity and development of the nation.(KNS)
