Budgam August 11:(KNS) Urging religious leaders/Imams representing all areas/sects across District Budgam to use their influence, approach in their respective areas to spread COVID-19 awareness and prepare the masses to follow and adhere all guidelines/precautions in containing the spread .District Development Commissioner Mr. S.A Mirza said this while chairing the meeting of religious leaders /imams convened here amid opening of religious places w.e.f 16-08-2020. While interacting with the invitees the DDC said it is our cumulative endeavor and responsibility to aware people that the danger of spread of COVID -19 pandemic at larger level still not over despite all precautions and measures in place already .You shall use your influence and religious connections to prepare devotees/ prayers to minimize the public gatherings to the best extent so that social distancing parameters are automatically maintained.
The religious leaders present in the meeting including Hakeem Mohd Ashraf Mirwaiz jamia Masjid Khansahib, Mirwaiz Jamia Masjid Budgam,Mirwaiz Jamia Masjid Soibugh,Mirwaiz Jamia Masjid Chadoora ,Mirwaiz Jamia Masjid Ompora etc in one voice assured DDC that during prayer session all precautions and guidelines envisaged in already issued protocols will be followed strictly .The initiative took by the Administration prior to the opening of religious places is highly appreciated step we welcome it as it is in the interest and absolutely for the safety of common masses. We also assure their will be no mass prayer meetings or any huge gatherings at any shrine coming in our vicinity. However in any unprecedented requirement or urgency the co-operation and help from the concerned Administration will be immediately called upon for the safety and precautionary measures.(KNS)
