Reconsider decision on Darbar Move as it has social, political and administrative reasons: CPI(M)

Srinagar, April 24 (KNS): CPI(M) on Friday urged the Jammu and Kashmir administration to reconsider its decision on halting administrative tradition of Darbar Move this year as it has social, political and administrative reasons.
According to statement issued to KNS “Most of the Kashmir-based employees are in Jammu and some of them with families. With temperatures rising in Jammu, it will be difficult for them to stay there if the Darbar Move practice is halted,” the statement said adding the order of two ‘functioning secretariats’ at Srinagar and Jammu will create confusion as no one will know which secretariat to approach for a particular work
The government needs to reconsider its decision of halting Darbar Move, because it is merely not an administrative issue but has political and social ramifications. Moreover the Darbar Move provides an incredible opportunity for people of two regions to interact on a closer level and also do businesses.
The decision needs to be reconsidered immediately, the statement emphasized (KNS)
