Rather pays growing tribute to prominent trade union leader, Sampat Prakash

 Srinagar, July 02(KNS): Senior N. C. leader and Former  Finance  Minister,Ab. Rahim Rather has paid glowing tributes to prominent trade union leader, Sampat Prakash who left for heavenly abode yesterday.

In his condolence message,Mr. Rather has said:” In Sampat Ji’s death we have lost a veteran trade union leader who fought vigorously and tirelessly for the cause of the working class throughout his life.

Secular to the core, he helped the underprivileged and downtrodden people irrespective of caste,creed,colour or religion . Even in most difficult times, he followed his path without caring for the consequences. He met me upteen times when I was in the Government and never missed to plead cause of the employees and the pentioners. Because of his sincerity ,integrity and forthrightness, I had developed close relationship with him. May his soul rest in peace!"(KNS).
