Asks govt to rehabilitate affected family, provide job to next of the kin of slain employee

Srinagar, 21 July(KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference senior leader and Former Minister Abdul Rahim Rather Friday visited the family of Imran Yousuf at Monu, Chrar e Sharief and offered condolences to the bereaved family.

Imran Yousuf, a forest department employee, was allegedly shot at by Jungle smugglers during the intervening night of 18th/19th July,2023 and he consequently succumbed to the gunshot injuries.

In a statement, Rather said that Imran was the only bread earner of his family and the family is totally shaken. “They have no other source of income and are not in a position to make their both ends meet. It is the duty of the government to come to the rescue of the bereaved family whose sole earning hand sacrificed his life while performing his duty in a jungle during the night hours,” he said.

He urged the LG administration to take urgent measures to rehabilitate the broken family and at least, provide a job to one member of the family.(KNS)
