Srinagar, 27 Jul (KNS) : The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Provincial Vice President and MLA Lal Chowk Ahsan Pardesi Monday said that providing basic civic amenities and strengthening development infrastructure across Jammu and Kashmir remain the government's foremost priorities.
According to a press release issued ,Pardesi made these remarks while hearing public grievances at the party headquarters, where several delegations and individuals from different parts of the Valley apprised him of issues concerning civic amenities, public infrastructure and local development. Taking immediate cognisance of the grievances, he contacted the concerned officials and directed them to ensure their prompt and time-bound resolution.
He said the present government has revived the pace of development that had slowed over the past several years and is working with renewed focus to improve the quality of life for people through responsive governance and accelerated execution of public welfare projects.
"The Omar Abdullah government is committed to ensuring that every development project serving the larger public interest is taken up without delay and completed within the stipulated time frame so that its benefits reach the people at the earliest," Pardesi said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He said that while addressing day-to-day public grievances remains an important aspect of governance, the government is simultaneously laying a strong foundation for long-term development by upgrading civic infrastructure across Jammu and Kashmir.
Pardesi said extensive work is underway to improve road connectivity through the construction and macadamisation of roads, upgradation of lanes and by-lanes, strengthening of drainage networks to prevent waterlogging, construction of bridges, development of playgrounds and public parks, renovation and establishment of community halls, improvement of educational infrastructure, and expansion of safe drinking water facilities to underserved areas.
He added that the government is closely monitoring the implementation of development projects to ensure transparency, quality and timely completion, while directing the administration to remain responsive to the aspirations and genuine concerns of the people.
Pardesi reiterated that the National Conference government will continue to work with dedication and accountability to deliver efficient public services and inclusive development, ensuring that the benefits of governance reach every household across Jammu and Kashmir.(KNS)
