Srinagar, Sept 08 (KNS): Former Union Minister, Prof. Saifuddin Soz on Thursday has paid rich tributes to Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah on his death anniversary.

"Today is the occasion of remembering the great son of the soil, Sher e Kashmir, Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah who stood firmly to safeguard the secular status of Jammu and Kashmir at a time when the whole subcontinent was burning with communal clashes and bloodshed. He ensured safety of all irrespective of caste, creed or religion.

Prof Soz in his statement further said, “he is a symbol of the political wisdom of ethnic and linguistic diversity of the J&K. It was he who created a unique space for his towering stature. I pray for his great soul to rest in heavens”.(KNS)
