Priya seeks establishment of SO Turf at Science College Football Ground

 Jammu December 04 (KNS): a significant development for the local football community, senior BJP leader and former Minister Priya Sethi today demanded the establishment of a state-of-the-art SO Turf at the Football Ground of Science College Jammu. 

She made this demand while addressing the culmination ceremony of the Under-19 Jammu Gold Cup Football Championship 2023 held at the Science College Jammu.
The former minister, a passionate advocate for sports development, highlighted the immense potential of Jammu's youth and emphasized the need for providing them with the necessary infrastructure to excel. "J&K has a wealth of untapped talent waiting to be unleashed. It's imperative that we equip our future stars with facilities that match their aspirations,” she added.
Priya Sethi cited the recent achievements of Indian athletes at the Asian Games 2023, attributing the success to the "unwavering support and commitment" of the Modi government towards sports development. "In this historic chapter, India bagged 86 medals - 21 gold, 32 silver, and 33 bronze - a testament to the positive impact of the government's initiatives," she stated.
The senior BJP leader, addressing the Sports Council directly, called for immediate action on her proposal. "Developing this football ground with an SO Turf isn't just an option, it's a necessity," she asserted. "This will not only provide a world-class training arena for our young footballers but also act as a catalyst for attracting tournaments and nurturing talent at the national level."
The former Minister's demand resonated deeply with the crowd, comprising enthusiastic players, coaches, and sports enthusiasts. Her words ignited a spark of hope, promising a brighter future for football in the region.
