MoS Home says no Kashmiri pandit displaced from Valley post abrogation of article 370

Srinagar, Dec 08 (KNS): The central government on Wednesday said that at least 366 militants have been killed while 91 civilians and 81 security forces personnel lost their lives in the Kashmir Valley after the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A on August o5, 2019.

In the ongoing winter session of the parliament, the minister of state for Home Affairs, Nityanand Rai in a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha also said that post abrogation of article 370 and 35A no Kashmiri Pandit or Hindu has been displaced from the valley. 

"After repeal of Article 370, no Kashmiri Pandit/Hindu has been displaced from the valley. However, recently some Kashmiri Pandit families, mostly women and children, living in Kashmir have moved to Jammu region. These families are of government employees, many of whom, move to Jammu in winter as part of movement of officials and the winter vacation in educational institutions," the minister said in the written reply. 

He also said that 366 militants have been killed, while 96 civilians and 81 security forces personnel have lost their lives in the Valley from August 05 till November 30th, 2021 post abrogation of article 370. (KNS)
