Ganderbal March 10 (KNS): Continuing unwavering efforts to bridge the gap between police & public, Police in Ganderbal facilitated a Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting at Dab in the jurisdiction of Police Post Shadipora.
The meeting was chaired by SSP Ganderbal Shri Sandeep Gupta-IPS and was attended by respectable citizens including Market associations, Auqaf Bodies, Chowkidars, Lumberdars, Sarpanchs, Panchs, youth and other community members of the district. Moreover, other senior Police Officers were also present on the said occasion.
On the occasion, the participants highlighted various issues of public importance and they were assured by the chairing officer that their genuine grievances pertaining to police will be resolved on priority and that of civil administration will be taken up with the concerned departments for their early redressal.
The participants were also stressed to co-operate with Police in maintaining law and order in the area and in identifying anti-national and anti-social elements who always try to disrupt the peaceful environment. While addressing the participants, SSP Ganderbal requested the participants to provide information to Police about smuggling of drugs and other illegal activities if any noticed in the area for initiating appropriate action against the offenders & culprits.(KNS)
