PHDCCI chairperson appeals business, trade community to take measures to prevent Covid-19 spread

Srinagar, Jan 12 (KNS): Baldev Singh Raina, Chairperson PHDCCI Kashmir appeals the Business and trading community of J&K to take all measures as directed by the Government for preventing the spread of COVID-19. He further stated that the public too needs to step in and be more mindful about maintaining all universal precautions against COVID – masking, physical distancing and avoiding crowds.

He stated that while there is no situation at present which warrants panic or worry but If God forbid, the new variant is more severe, then everybody would have to pay the price for it.

Baldev Singh added that the sectors to be hit hardest in case of high severity are again likely to be hospitality, travel and tourism, retail, and to an extent automobile as well if lockdown is imposed.

Particularly restaurants and hotels, which were first to be impacted and last to be recovered. We appeal to all who are due for their second dose of vaccine, not to delay it any longer and to complete their vaccination as soon as possible.

Baldev further added that without a doubt, a vigilant and better prepared People of J&K   can tide over an incoming third wave. With administration and people of J&K coming together, the battle against the virus can be won, slowly but surely. It is but a matter of time. (KNS)
