Srinagar, June 26 (KNS): National Conference vice president and former chief minister, Omar Abdullah, on Monday expressed concern over resurgence of militant activities under BJPs rule in areas previously declared militancy-free in past governments.
Commenting on an opposition meet that took place in Patna few days ago, the former chief mjnister Omar Abdullah highlighted the growing unrest and cast doubt on the ruling party's ability to restore peace.
Abdullah's remarks came in response to a recent statement by Home Minister Amit Shah, who had dismissed the opposition meet's significance.
According to Abdullah, Shah's reaction only reinforced the opposition's success in mobilizing against the current administration. He further emphasized that the outcomes of their meeting would set an impact on 2024 elections.
Regarding a recent incident in Pulwama Masjid, Abdullah called for a thorough investigation and demanded accountability for the culprits involved. "Also, the incident took place in Pulwama Masjid should be probed & culprits should be taken to task," he asserted.(KNS).
