Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party today paid glowing tributes to Ex MLA Wachi Mr Mohd Jabbar Mir, on his 21st death anniversary.

In a statement to KNS, the PDP said that throughout his life Mir sahib was a vocal advocate of policy interventions which always put people at the heart of decision making.

Late Mir's son Aijaz Ah Mir, also a former MLA from Wachi Constituency in a tweet recalled his father as his mentor and friend.

Mir said his father dedicated his entire life for enriching the lives of poor and needy even at the cost of his own family. "My father's dream was to see Wachi the most developed Constituency in the entire Jammu and Kashmir. By the grace of God I will fulfill his dream," he said.

It may be recalled Mohd Jabbar Mir was a sitting MLA when he suffered a major heart stroke on September 15, 1999(KNS)
