Srinagar, July 13 (KNS): People's democratic Party leaders protesting against barring the people and political leaders particularly former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti from visiting the martyrs graveyard in Srinagar on martyr's day were detained in press colony here.

According to a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS) additional spokespersons Abdul Rouf Bhat, Mohit Bhan, Najim u Sakib and district president Srinagar Abdul Qayoom Bhat, Mohd Umer Dar and Amir Ahmad were detained by police and lodged in Kothi Bagh police station.

Meanwhile, Mehbooba Mufti condemned the arrest of PDP leaders and expressed dismay over police action. (KNS)
