Srinagar, Apr 19 (KNS): J&K Peoples Conference political secretary Mohammad Suleiman Bhat on Sunday appealed authorities to release PC Chairman Sajad Gani Lone and all other political leaders ahead of Holy Ramadhan.

According to statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Bhat said PC Chairman Sajad Gani Lone, senior vice-president Abdul Gani Vakeel and other political leaders are languishing either in jails or have been kept under house detention since August 2019 and appealed authorities to release them on humanitarian grounds as Holy month Ramadhan is approaching.

He appealed both central and state government to take the matter of releasing political leaders as a good will gesture.

Bhat urged upon incumbent administration to make a viable evacuation of Kashmiri laborers, students, patients, attendants and traders stranded outside parts in wake of countrywide lockdown. He impressed upon the government to provide all required facilities to people fighting the battle against Covid-19.

He hoped that in wake of lockdown and forthcoming Holy Ramadhan, administration will constitute special task forces who will check and monitor the prices of essential commodities. (KNS)
