Kupwara, Nov 28 (KNS): Two families were rendered homeless after an overnight massive blaze turned their double story residential house into ashes in Nowa Gabra area of Karnah in north Kashmir's Kupwara district.

Reports reaching Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that the residential house belonging to two brothers Mushkoor Ahmad and Gafoor Ahmad--son's of Ghulam Rubani Gakhar were reduced to ashes after a massive fire broke out in their residential house late last night. 

They said that as soon as fire erupted, fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse off the flames. "But by the time the fire tenders reached to the spot, fire had completely damaged the house and two families were rendered homeless as property worth lakhs got perished," they said. 

Meanwhile, locals appealed to the authorities to provide assistance to the affected families. (KNS)
