Orphans in Need will be distributing 150 Ration kits in Uri with Hope society Uri

Srinagar, Apr 17 (KNS): Hope Society Uri on Thursday received 150 ration kits from Orphan in Need NGO which will be distributing in coming days among widows, poor and needy people.

According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Hope Society Uri, a voluntary group of Uri comprising twenty voluntary members took an initiative to help widows, poor and needy people in wake of lockdown situation. In this regard the group received 150 ration kits from Orphan & Need, a non-governmental organization with an aim to serve poor section of the society.

Talking about the campaign orphans in Need MD Mr Reyaz Sheikh we are once again happy to deliver much needed supplies among widow and orphans with in the valley. We are in target to deliver 6000 food parcels during the time of Covid 19 pandemic lock down within the valley" Sheikh Said.

Nadeem Khawaja Uri, a journalist by profession and chairman of the group told that received kits comprising rice, edible oil, spices, cereals, salt, sugar etc would be distributed among poor and needy in coming days. He added as countrywide lockdown has extended recently, it was decided to provide helping hand to widows, orphans and other destitute. (KNS)
