Only essential services will operate in Srinagar on July 29, 30


Srinagar, July 28 (KNS): The District Administration Srinagar on Tuesday clarified that only shops related to essential service shall remain open on July 29 & 30 from in view of upcoming Eid-ul-Adha.
According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), authorities decided that only those shops who deal in essential commodities will be allowed to operate on July 29 & 30 from 09:00 am to 05:00 pm in the jurisdiction of district Srinagar.
They explicate that business establishments dealing with non-essential services and commodities will remain closed till further notification.
It is pertinent to mention that divisional administration Kashmir few days back decided to ease lockdown restrictions from July 28, 29 and 30 in wake of Eid-ul-Adha festival. Though several parts of Valley resumed “conditional activities” on Tuesday however district administration Srinagar on late night of Monday extended the lockdown for more one day citing “spike in Covid-19 caseloads in the district” a reason.
