Rajouri June 10 (KNS) : The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah on Saturday visited  various Pir Panjal areas for a day-long tour. 

Party’s Provincial President Jammu Rattan Lal Gupta, party leaders Javed Rana, Ajaz Jan, Thakur Yashwardhan Singh, Vijay Laxmi Dutta, Naseem Liyaqat and number of party's local unit functionaries accorded him a rousing welcome in Rajouri. 

Earlier in the day the party vice president was welcomed by the YNC Provincial President Ajaz Jan at Bufliaz. 

Omar Abdullah made a brief stopover at Rajouri and held a meeting with party's local unit functionaries which was marked by threadbare discussions on party affairs, local political situation and public issues. Interacting with the party functionaries, Omar said that such meetings are always helpful in getting useful and constructive feedback from the party functionaries.

Later in the day, Omar Abdullah visited Naushehra to attend the 10th day Kriya of senior party leader Satpal Chowdhary. Joined by various provincial and local unit functionaries, he offered glowing tributes to the veteran leader and extended heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family.(KNS)
