Srinagar, Jul 13 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday paid tributes to the July 13 martyrs, saying their sacrifice in the pursuit of justice, dignity and democracy continues to inspire generations.
In a post, Abdullah said the martyrs' sacrifice awakened a collective conscience that "no passage of time can erase".
Paying homage to the martyrs, the chief minister said they should be honoured not only through remembrance but also by carrying forward the values for which they made the ultimate sacrifice.
Abdullah also shared an Urdu couplet paying tribute to those who, he said, never bowed before oppression and whose footsteps illuminated the path for others.(KNS).
