Rajouri, April 15 (KNS): Hundreds of patients who have availed Golden cards of Ayushman Bharat scheme are facing problems due to the negligence of some officials.

The golden card holders have called for carrying necessary rectification of the errors committed by officials while filing individual details.

A number of beneficiaries from different areas of Jammu and Kashmir informed KNS said that Government's Ayushman Bharat initiative is of a major help for common masses but due to careless attitude of some officials, the aim of scheme is getting marred.

" Mistakes were committed while filling details in a number of cards across the Jammu and Kashmir which has now become a cause of concern for the beneficiaries." they said.

The beneficiaries said that majority of the errors are in their names and details of their parentage.

" A single mistake has invalidated the card and is giving many health institutes a reason to deprive people of benefits of the golden card," they said.

Many beneficiaries who could avail free dialysis facility in hospitals with the golden card are finding it difficult now to avail the facility and have to bear the huge costs on their own.

Besides, many people complained that Golden Cards are linked with Socio Economic Caste Based Survey (SECC) conducted in 2011 and a large number of poor people were not enlisted in survey due to which they are unable to get their Golden Cards .

" We demand Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir's government to start a process afresh to rectify the mistakes so that deserving are benefitted." they demanded. (KNS)
