Officers of Agriculture and Horticulture addressed the farmers

Kupwara March 26:(KNS)   In Mawar valley, agriculture is the backbone of the rural economy. Here almost every household is engaged in agricultural activities, directly or indirectly. therefore it becomes absolutely necessary to regularly look into issues pertaining to the agricultural activities in Mawar valley in order to support the economic upliftment of the villagers. In line with the above mentioned thought, on 26 march  2021, The Nugam Brigade of the Indian Army in association with the office of Chief Horticulture Officer, Kupwara and District Agriculture Officer, Kupwara, organised an interaction with the farmers of mawar valley at village Naugam as an outreach initiative in order to address various problems and challenges faced by the farmers in the Area.

According to the reports  Chief Horticulture Officer Farook Ahmed addressed the farmers with respect to various new insights in the feild of horticulture and made them aware of various government's schemes for the farmers. Also the District Agriculture Officer Abdul J Wani also updated the farmers with the latest trends in agriculture and farming. They assured the Awaam of Mawar valley for all the govt help and support with regards to promotion of agricultural development in future.

The Farmers of Mawar valley welcomed this initiative and participated with utmost curiosity and enthusiasm. The district officials also encouraged the locals to approach govt officials for welfare schemes. The Indian Army has assured the Awaam that such interactions will be held regularly in future also.(KNS)
