Non-local drug peddler held in Srinagar, contraband substance recovered: Police 

Srinagar, Jan 20 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir police on Thursday claimed to have arrested a non-local drug peddler near Malkha Chowk in Srinagar and recovered huge quantity of contraband substance from his possession.

According to a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), a team of Police Station Nowhatta headed by Station House Officer arrested a drug peddler namely Mohammad Qurban Sheikh son of Mohammad Amir Ali Sheikh of Indra Gandhi Camp Tiamoor Nagar South Delhi at present Bulbul Bagh Tanpora Srinagar.

It reads that 2 kg and 790 gram charas powder was recovered from his possession by the Naka Party of the Police Station at Malkha Chowk.

“In this regard a case FIR No. 07/2022 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered and further investigation has been started,” it reads. (KNS)
