Srinagar, Nov 24 (KNS): Director Meteorological department, Sonum Lotus on Wednesday said that there is no prediction for any major snowfall as the weather will remain dry till December 05.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Sonum Lotus said that tomorrow the weather will be bit cloudy with light snowfall in the higher reaches particularly in north Kashmir and Zojila Pass, but there is no prediction for any major snowfall. “The weather will remain dry till December 05.”

He also advised people not to use heating appliances much during night and allow fresh air to come into the rooms for ventilation in order to prevent themselves from suffocation.

“During winters people tend to use heating appliances to keep themselves warm and leave no room for fresh air to come which creates carbon monoxide inside the room, making it harmful. So people should take care of these thing while using heating appliances,” he said.

Lotus said that people should turn off their heating appliances before going to sleep as recently there was an incident of death due to suffocation in Ganderbal. (KNS)
