Bandipora, Jul 2 (KNS): The Kishanganga Power Station of NHPC on Thursday organised a free medical camp at Government High School, Wanpora in Gurez Valley under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme for the financial year 2026-27.
The camp was inaugurated by Rajesh Ranjan, General Manager (In-Charge) and Head of the Kishanganga Power Station.
A team of doctors and medical staff from NHPC conducted health check-ups for around 340 patients from Wanpora and nearby villages.

NHPC officials said the initiative was aimed at improving access to healthcare services in the remote border area and extending medical support to local residents.
The camp witnessed participation from people of Wanpora and adjoining villages, with residents appreciating the initiative and seeking the organisation of similar healthcare camps in the future.(KNS).
