PDP pays rich tributes to late Ghulam Rasool Gayoor

Recalls his contribution in field of education, literature


Srinagar, Oct 22 (KNS): J&K People’s Democratic Party has paid glowing tributes to eminent scholar, educationist, writer, Sufi poet, prominent social and political leader, Syed Ghulam Rasool Gayoor, on his 13th death anniversary.
A condolence meet was held at party Head Quarters Srinagar headed by Party senior leader and vice president Abdul Rehman Veeri, where glorious tributes were paid to the late leader.
Terming Gayoor a multifaceted personality, the leaders said the deceased had devoted his whole life for the betterment and up-lifting of the people.
Recalling his contribution in the field of education and literature, the leaders said the deceased besides being a scholar, educationist and writer of great repute was well-known social and political leader as well.
Senior party leaders, Muzzafar Hussain Baig, MP; General Secretary Gulam Nabi Hanjura, Mohammad Sartaj Madni, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, Syed Naeem Akhtar, Syed Basharat Ahmad Bukhari, Syed Farooq Ahmad Andrabi, Chief spokesman Rafi Ahmad Mir, Mohammad Khurshid Alam, Zahoor Ahmad Mir, Mushtaq Ahmad Shah, Adv. Mohammad Yusuf Bhat, Zaffar Iqbal Manhas, Abdul Raheem Rather, Ajaz Ahmad Mir and other have also paid rich tributes to late Syed Ghulam Rasool Gayoor on his 13th death anniversary. (KNS)
