Curfew, restrictions, shutdown continue on 26th day in Kashmir

Srinagar, Aug 03 (KNS): Authorities on Wednesday continue to impose curfew in two Southern districts and restrictions in parts of Anantnag, Srinagar and others on 26th consecutive day to thwart any possible protests against the civilian killings in Kashmir.
A top police official told KNS that the curfew continued in Kulgam and Pulwama while the restrictions have been imposed in Anantnag town, parts of Srinagar, and other parts of districts as well.
Witnesses told KNS that huge contingent of police and paramilitary CRPF troopers have been deployed on roads to thwart any possible protests against the civilian killings in Kashmir.
Meanwhile, reports said that the residents of Chattabal area of Srinagar staged protest against the killing of a bank ATM (Automatic Teller Machine) guard, who was killed under mysterious circumstances during the night, reports said.
Reports quoting Police sources said that the guard, identified as Reyaz Ahmad of Bagiyas area of the city, had been attacked and killed with some sharp edged weapon.
However, People took to streets after the news of his killing spread in the area. (KNS)
