Srinagar, 09 Sep (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Party President, Member of Parliament from Srinagar Dr Farooq Abdullah and vice president Mr. Omar Abdullah on Wednesday paid glowing tributes to senior party leader and former Minister Shaheed Mushtaq Ahmed Lone on his 18th Martyrdom anniversary.
According to statement issued to KNS reads, Party President while paying tributes to Shaheed Mushtaq Ahmed Lone remembered his contribution towards socio-political emancipation of the poor and downtrodden. He said the history of the National Conference was replete with the great sacrifices of such selfless souls who gave their lives while serving the society.
“Mushtaq Sahib was a selfless soldier of our party who selflessly served the people day in, day out facing all odds. In his capacity as the Minister of State for home affairs, he performed exceedingly well. I, on his martyrdom anniversary, pay my earnest tributes to him, praying for peace to his soul,” he said.
Party vice president while paying tributes to Shaheed Mushtaq Sahib said, “The jinxed fate of J&K snatched numerous sincere party functionaries and workers from us, late Mushtaq Sahib was one of them. A people’s leader, an ace administrator and a dedicated Party member, his contributions to the party in particular, and the people of north Kashmir are immense. On his martyrdom day anniversary, I pay my homage to him and pray almighty to bestow upon him highest echelons in Jannah,”he said.
Meanwhile Party General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Additional General Secretary Dr Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, Chaudhary Muhammad Ramzan, MP Muhammad Akbar Lone, Dr. Sajad Shafi Uri, Senior leaders Mir Saifullah, Qaisar Jamsheed Lone, spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar, Provincial secretary Showkat Ahmed Mir also paid glowing tributes to late Mushtaq Lone Sahaib, terming him an earnest soldier of the party.
