NC MLA Nazir Gurzi Defends Budget, Highlights Relief for Poor

Srinagar, Mar 8 (KNS): NC MLA Nazir Gurzi has defended the recently presented budget, emphasizing the government’s efforts to provide relief to the poor without imposing new taxes. In a statement, Gurzi said, 


"The budget was presented well. We didn’t tax anyone significantly. We only imposed a minor Rs. 2 tax on petrol and diesel while ensuring significant relief for the poor."

Gurzi highlighted that about 10 lakh people would benefit from government schemes, which include 10 kilograms of ration and 200 units of free electricity. "These initiatives are aimed at helping the most vulnerable members of our society," he added.

The MLA also reassured the public that the government is working progressively on fulfilling its manifesto promises.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel"We are working diligently and slowly moving toward fulfilling all promises, including reaching those below the poverty line (BPL)," Gurzi said.

Addressing the ongoing criticisms from the opposition, Gurzi responded, "The opposition will always criticize us, but our role is to ensure that the people feel comfortable and supported." He expressed confidence that the government’s focus remains on improving the lives of ordinary citizens and fulfilling its commitments.

As the government continues to roll out its relief measures, Gurzi affirmed that NC remains dedicated to making life better for the underprivileged.(KNS)
