Tanvir Sadiq calls for maintaining utmost decency in virtual spaces by refraining from slander

Srinagar Dec 16 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Media & Communication Wing Wing organized a one day workshop on social media at the party headquarters Nawa-e-Subha, Srinagar. 

Party Treasurer Shammi Oberoi, Provincial President  Nasir Aslam Wani, Chief Spokesperson & Communications wing head Tanvir Sadiq, Political Advisor to VP Mudassar Shahmiri, State Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar, VP Kashmir Province Ahsan Pardesi, Provincial President YNC Salman Ali Sagar, PP Women's wing Sabiya Qadri, Social Media Incharge Ifra Jan, Jahangir Wani, SM & Communication Secretary to VP Muzaffar Khan, SM Analysts, Constituency Media In Charges, Media & Social media functionaries were also present on the occasion. 

The inaugural address was presented by Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq. Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani Sogami, Social Media In Charge Ifra Jan also spoke on the occasion. The event was moderated by Social Media analysts Faisal Bhat & Rehan Gulzar.

Exhorting the Party’s Social Media (SM) functionaries to enhance communication with constituents and build awareness around the Party’s initiatives, Nasir Aslam Wani said that the social media has risen to play a significant role in the communications strategies of the Party’s policies and programmes. “We should use different social media platforms to keep the general public informed and updated about important issues and engage with them at a deeper level,” he said.

Tanvir asked the functionaries to maintain utmost decency in virtual spaces by refraining from slander. “Our mission should be to highlight the achievements of our party, dispel myths and garner support. We have to fight false propaganda with facts and figures. We have to show a mirror to the authorities and lend voice to the voiceless. I am hopeful that the dedicated team of our media functionaries will keep up with their good work.”(KNS)
