Expresses grief over loss of lives in tragic Zewan drowning incident


Srinagar, 26 May (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President and Member of Parliament from Srinagar Dr Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Mr. Omar Abdullah on Tuesday condoles the demise of Ex Block President Anantnag Ghulam Mohammed Mir.
The duo while expressing grief over the demise of party veteran prayed for peace to his soul and much needed strength to the mournful family to bear the irreparable loss. The duo said that late Mir Sahib was a noble soul and a sincere soldier of party. The duo has expressed unison with the grief stricken family in their bereavement.
Among others party’s Member of Parliament from Anantnag Hasnain Masoodi, senior leader Sakina Itoo, district president Anantnag Altaf Kaloo and Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar have also expressed grief over the demise of Ghulam Ahmed Mir, prayed for repose to his soul and strength to the mournful family.
Meanwhile NC also expressed grief over the loss of two precious lives in a tragic drowning incident in Zewan, Srinagar.
YNC vice provincial president Ahsan Pardesi while expressing grief said, “It is heart wrenching to see two minor girls meet with such fatality. I express my deepest condolences to the mournful families. I express my unison with the kin of the deceased in their hour of grief and pray for much needed strength to them to bear the inconsolable loss. I pray for eternal peace and repose to the deceased.”
The deceased along with other drowned girls were hospitalized; unfortunately the medics could only save three of them. “I pray for the recovery of the ones who are undergoing treatment. I also pray that such ill-fated incidents do not occur in future,” he said. (KNS)
