SRINAGAR, July 27 (KNS) : Emphasising the pivotal role of the youth in shaping India's future, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, in collaboration with the Nations Development Association (NDA), today organised the 'Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2026 – Young Professionals Roundtable' here.
Held at the SCERT Auditorium, the event drew an enthusiastic participation of nearly 300 students, young professionals, and volunteers from across Jammu & Kashmir. The programme, themed "Youth in Democracy and Government for Viksit Bharat," sought to channel the energy of the region's youth towards democratic processes and nation-building, aligning with the Prime Minister's vision of a developed India by 2047.
The event was graced by a host of dignitaries, including Prof. Dr Mohd Mobin (VC, Cluster University Srinagar), Prof. Dr K. S. Chandrasekar (VC, Cluster University Jammu), and Ms. Shagun Parihar and Ms.

Addressing the gathering, the speakers underscored the importance of democratic values, innovation, and public service. An interactive Q&A session allowed participants to engage directly with the leaders, garnering insights into governance and leadership.
Participation certificates were distributed to the attendees, while the distinguished guests were felicitated for their contributions to education and social development.
The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Mr. Gopal Namdeo, District Youth Officer, MY Bharat Srinagar, who expressed gratitude to the Ministry and all partners for the programme's success. The event concluded with the National Anthem, reaffirming the collective resolve to strengthen democracy and achieve the goal of Viksit Bharat. (KNS)
