Srinagar, Sept 16 (KNS): The Private Diagnostic Centers Association (PDCA) Thursday said that the authorities have increased municipality fee from Rs 2000 to Rs 25,000, stating that it will put extra burden on the poor people.

President of the association, Umer Dhar told Kashmir News Service that they have been concern over increase in fee structure even as they implement the Nursing Home and Clinical Establishments Registration Act in letter and spirit.

He said that PC and PNDT Registration and Renewal Fee of Rs 5000 for five years has gone up to Rs 25,000 which too much for five years and will put a burden on poor patients.

He said that charging of municipality fee structure from Rs 2000 to Rs 25,000 will lead to over burdening of charges on the poor and needy patients.

Dhar said that they had earlier brought the issue into the notice of former additional secretary Health and Medical Education (H&ME), however, they are yet to receive any response for the same.

Meanwhile, he appealed to the Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha to personally look into the matter and help resolve their genuine grievance. (KNS)
