Anjum Ara says calligraphy is the most intimate, private and spontaneous expressive means like a fingerprint or voice and it’s unique for every person.Anjum Ara who is a medical student of 12th grade says she wants to pursue this art along with her studies.

“Calligraphy is an art,” she says. “It’s not just writing. Artists have their own unique brush strokes slanted in different ways that people recognize as being from that particular individual.”

“Islamic calligraphy is time-consuming which is why it is different and needs a proper focus as well. It costs a lot of energy and is stationary. But I still love to do it. My parents, friends and siblings encourage me and it gives me more strength to further pursue it,” said Anjum Ara.

“Anjum Ara has a thirst to learn everything about calligraphy. We are proud of work,” said her parents. “She is passionate about her work. That is what brings sharpness in her writing,” he said.(KNS).
