Kupwara, Jan 06 (KNS): To assess the power supply position and to review restoration process MD KPDCL Dr Basharat Qayoom IAS, visits District Kupwara today on 06.01.2022. North kashmir has been more affected by recent snowfall, SE Sopore and Xens informed that most of the feeders have been restored and only two feeders partially restored and attempts at full restoration on. 

MD KPDCL along with Deputy Commissioner Kupwara visited Receiving Stations. Later MD visited workshop of ED Kupwara and reviewed DT outage management and buffer stock. District administration lauded the restoration process of KPDCL and assured all possible support. 

Later public representatives met MD KPDCL and presented demands of public, While lauding the work of Kpdcl Kupwara and Handwara, requested for early commissioning of near- complete works.

MD KPDCL directed concerned Superintending Engineer O&M circle Sopore and all Executive Engineers for early completion of works and setup the timeline for commissioning.

MD KPDCL later visited ED Handwara workshop and took stock of repairs. Directed Executive Engineer for double shift operations so that damaged DTs are replaced in time and there is least inconvenience to consumers. 

MD emphasised the adherence to SOPs and use of safety gear by restoration teams. 

In view of upcoming weather advisory MD directed both divisions to take all proactive measures to reduce outages and ensure early restoration in case of outages. (KNS)
