Man rescued from well after 10 hours in Baramulla, hospitalised

Baramulla, Dec 28 (KNS): The 45-year-old man, who had fell into a well in Burzulla village of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, was rescued alive after 10-hour long operation.

An official told KNS that the man identified as Bashir Ahmed Rather fell into the well near his house earlier today when he went to clean it.

He said that soon after the incident, locals rushed to the spot and tried to rescue the man and in the meantime, police, SDRF, Fire and Emergency services, health department, and CRPF joined the rescue operation.

“After strenuous efforts for nearly 10 hours the man was rescued alive. It was possible because of the joint efforts pf rescuers and prayers of the people,” locals said. 

Meanwhile, the official said that the man was in a critical condition and has been shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. (KNS)
