Kupwara, Jan 11(KNS): Kupwara Police on Wednesday said that it has arrested another narcotics smuggler from Hajitra area of Karnah and recovered narcotics from him.
During the preceding night, the police said that acting upon specific information regarding presence of narcotics in the possession of one Fareed Ahmad Sheikh son of Ab Rehman Sheikh a resident of Hajitra Taad, a search was conducted in the house of Fareed in the presence of Executive Magistrate Ist class Tangdhar.
"During search, one packet containing Heroin like narcotics substance weighing about 580 grams was recovered from the house," he said
The police said that the accused has been arrested and case under relevant sections of NDPS Act registered and investigation taken up by Police Station Karnah.(KNS).
