Srinagar, September 5 (KNS): Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) in collaboration with Nigeen Lake Conservation Organisation & participation from Forest Dept and stakeholders in Khushalsar retrieved a major chunk of waterbody, says

“The locals have been rendering positive support to this initiative and have expressed their satisfaction”, he added.
In a statement to KNS, President NLCO stated that “While as the Gilsar-Khushalsur needs a comprehensive restoration plan, reportedly I&FC will soon restart the dredging in Gilsar which otherwise is in shambles. SMC has also geared up their efforts towards the conservation measures.”
Wangnoo added that “With the help of Divisional Administration, SMC, LC&MA and stakeholders the revival of the twin lakes to their pristine glory is gradually becoming reality.”
He thanked all the stakeholders especially Divisional Administration for their efforts and support.(KNS)
