Srinagar Nov 24 (KNS):  The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Mahila Congress on Friday discussed organizational activities in all the districts of Kashmir and also expressed serious concern over various public issues especially unscheduled curtailment of electricity and communication gap between the Administration and public.

J&K Pradesh Mahila Congress President Shameem Raina Presided over the meeting of Mahila Office bearers and DCC Presidents at Srinagar Party Office in which threadbare discussions were held over the organizational affairs and activities, besides many issues of public importance also came under discussion.

JKPCC Senior Vice President and Ex. MLC Ghulam Nabi Monga, Srinagar DCC President Imtiyaz Ahmad Khan, Secretary PCC Muzaffar Ahmad, Mahila Leaders Saira Shamem, DDC Member Saima Jan, Shaista and various others also attended the meeting.

J&K Mahila President Shameema Raina received feedback with regard to organizational activities in the districts while urging Mahila Office bearers to fully share responsibility of holding party activities at block.She described Mahila Congress an important organ of the Party, which is fully committed to work towards strengthening the Party and work for the wellbeing of the people.

On this occasion, Raina expressed serious concern over the poor supply of electricity and various other issues confronting the public and urged the Govt to reform the PDD to ensure the required supply of electricity to the public. She also expressed dismay over the gap between the administration and the public in absence of the elected Govt in J&K.

Ghulam Nabi Monga also addressed the meeting and urged the Mahila Congress office bearers and workers to vigorously highlight public issues in their respective areas for their redressal.He said women has a significant role in the society and can contribute immensely to social reform and wellbeing of the common people while expressing satisfaction over the pro-active role of Mahila Congress in J&K.

Monga said Congress and its frontal organizations are fully committed to fight for resolution of public issues.

On this occasion scores of prominent Mahila leaders joined the party.(KNS)
